The Green Team will be sponsoring the 2014 Parents’ Science Lab Night (PSLN) and Legislator Visitation Day Assembly (LVDA) on February 19, 2014. During the LVDA, the Green Team will present their research to the 10th and 11th grade classes and to a select group of Daniel Boone Parents and other VIPs including State Senator Judith Schwank. The LVDA will also hold presentations from other Daniel Boone Academic Programs and from the Relay for Life Committee. After the presentations Senator Schwank and the other legislator VIP’s will take the stage and engage in a Q & A with the members of the Sophomore and Junior Classes.
This year’s PSLN will also include exhibits and demonstrations from the Math and Computer Science, Art, and Technology Departments. PSLN will run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. All Daniel Boone parents and students from the elementary, middle, and high school levels will be invited to attend.
In addition to these PSLN exhibits, the Green Team will be partnering with the Daniel Boone High School’s Relay for Life in an effort to transform one of the high school’s court yards into an outdoor classroom and to raise money for Relay for Life. Come see a three dimensional model of the proposed court yard alteration and learn how you or your employer can make a tax deductible donation through the Blazer Foundation to the Green Team’s/Relay for Life partnership.
