In addition to the Algae Bioreactor Premiere Event, the Green Team also educated the community at a variety of levels. We advertised the Premiere Event to the entire school district through the district webpage. Additionally, the school newspaper, The Blazer, wrote two articles covering the event. The article covering the event, “HS Students use Algae to Fuel Change,” was also published on the school district webpage seen below and mailed to every home in the district in the School District News Letter. The Blazer covered the team before the event with an article, “Students Excel With Bioreactor,” for its October Edition on page 5. Then, The Blazer followed up with, "Bioreactor Premiere: Go Clean, Go Green, Go Algae!"

The Lancaster Farming Magazine plans to include coverage of the Algae Bioreactor Premiere Event and of the long term progress of Daniel Boone High School’s Algae Bioreactor Research Group in its Alternative Energy Supplement set for publication in January, 2014. In addition to the printed media formats, a Philadelphia radio station, KYW News-radio 1060, will run two segments on the event in November of 2013. Both the team's John Dugan and another Boone student have the privilege of broadcasting to the Greater Philadelphia Area including: Delaware, Southern New Jersey, South-eastern Pennsylvania, parts of Maryland, as well as online radio formats.
