The Research Group’s outreach program seeks to spread awareness of its research not only in the local community, but also in the greater extended community. This extended community includes other school districts. During the Premiere of the Algae Bioreactor on November 6, 2013, there were teachers and students in attendance from three neighboring school districts including Berks Catholic, Pottstown School District, and the Fleetwood Area School District. Altogether, science teachers and students from twelve school districts were invited to attend.
In addition to issuing invitations to other public schools, we also invited professors from thirteen colleges in our local area. We were very fortunate in having three professors attend our presentation.

Dr. John Ullrich, Rosemont College, Rosemont, PA
Dr. Ulrich not only attended the presentation, but he has also become a partner in our research. He has provided advice and basic materials that have enabled the Green Team to begin transforming the algae lipid oil into biodiesel newly one year ahead of schedule. Ironically, as a biochemist, he has spent his career finding ways to kill algae! Now he is a partner in growing algae. You may read more about Dr. Ulrich at the webpage in the title.
Dr. Bryce Brylawski, Albright College, Reading, PA
Dr. Brylawski is a new contact for our Research Group. As a biologist specializing in Marine Science, he will prove to be a great asset and partner in our future research. You may read more about Dr. Brylawski at the webpage in the title.
Gary Jones, Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA
In addition to his adjunct professor position at the Delaware Valley College, Mr. Jones works in the aquatic industry at Mars Fishcare as their Corporate and Scientific Affairs Manager. His work today is in new product development for aquariums and ponds. He also continues to speak on topics that include water gardens, filtration systems, water quality, system design, and fish health just to list a few. He has recently joined our Research Group as one of our advisors.
